January Announcements

January 31, 2017

  • This announcement is for all students:  Students with Apple watches, must leave them in their locker during the day.  You cannot wear your Apple watch while school is in session.
  • A reminder to all students attending remedial.  Remedial ends at 3:35. If you leave a teacher’s classroom, you must report to another teacher or to the cafeteria for dismissal.  For safety reasons, students must not dismiss themselves from school during the middle of the period.
  • All overdue library books must be returned to the library as soon as possible.
  • For our 8th grade students: Boston trip forms are being collected in the Main Office.  The deadline is coming shortly.
  • The Mattlin PE staff will be having a shoe drive for the month of February beginning tomorrow, February 1st. We will be having a grade wide competition to see who can donate the most shoes.  Please donate your lightly used sneakers, dress shoes, or cleats.  Thank you.
  • Afternoon Intramurals will be cancelled for Wednesday, February 1st. They will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 9th

  • Attention 5th & 6th grade band students: The new lesson schedule goes into effect today.  Group A (5th grade flutes) has a lesson period 1.  Group B (5th grade clarinets) has a lesson period 4.
  • Last weekend Rockin Robos and Mattlin PRIDE competed in a Robotics Competition. Rockin Robo's impressed the judges with their research presentation.  Mattlin Pride advanced to the next round and received the highest score on robot missions and an award for their research on helping the polar bears. Next competition is March 5th!!

  • Computer Club will meet zero period tomorrow, January 11th in the D-House computer lab.
  • There will be a boys and girls bowling meeting tomorrow, January 11th at 3 PM in the gym.
  • There will be a volleyball open gym tonight from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Stratford Road School.
  • There is NO MAP tomorrow because there is a grade level assembly occurring during period 1 for 6th grade students.
