Plainview-Old Bethpage Student Chosen as One of Long Island’s Best Young Artists
Plainview-Old Bethpage School District eleventh grade student Kristi Chan was recently honored by Curator Lisa Chalif at the Long Island’s Best Young Artists Awards ceremony. Over 54 public and private schools submitted student artwork for judging. Chan’s artwork was one of 80 selected for display in the galleries of the Hecksher Museum.
Now in its nineteenth year, Long Island’s Best challenges students from grades nine through twelve from across Long Island to choose a work of art in the museum that inspires them to create a work of their own.
