John F. Kennedy High School Students Named Finalists in 2017 National Merit Scholarship Competition
Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School is proud to announce four academically talented seniors have advanced from semifinalists to finalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Competition. Earlier this year, Talia Blum, Philip Danziger, Max Kuster and Jina Yom were named among 16,000 students around the country who demonstrated scholastic aptitude in the competition having earned some of the highest scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
The finalists are among 7,400 students who will be considered for an opportunity to receive National Merit Scholarships, worth over $32 million. Announcements will be made from March through June 2017.
